No Shops at All
Summary:
We could live without shops. And here’s why.
Shops are a necessary evil. No one needs shops. What we need are the products. And we need them now. Every shop just delays us in getting the products - may it be as fast as it wants to be. As long as it is not instant, it is delaying us.
So you might think about faster and better ways to let the customer find and receive products, but that wouldn’t be the final solution. The best product is the one you don’t have to buy and wait for.
There are two services that shops offer now, that are useful:
First, they remind you of products that you forgot to put on your shopping list, just by showing them beside the products you buy.
Second, they may inspire you to try something new or different.
But both services are not bound to shops alone and are already covered by other services - or might be covered by new services. Such as a fridge that tells you about different or new kinds of milk. Or telling you that you just ran out of bread.
